Newt Gingrich has been married three times. This by itself is not a story, and normally I could not care less, but…..
In a recent interview Mr. Gingrich admitted to past infidelities which, in theory, may have lead to the multiple divorces. In theory.
Rather than giving a straight mea culpa, the excuse he offered to CBN reporter David Brody was that his marital affairs were “partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate.”
His ‘passion for country’ led to cheating on his wives?
I wonder if I can try that, cuz I DO love my country…
Wow. He must really love his country to cheat on multiple wives.
And his depth of love for the good old U.S. of A. must have been off the charts to cheat on wife number one…
He cared enough to visit her in the hospital while she was being treated for cancer … so he could discuss divorce proceedings.
You can’t get more American than that.
Passion for country? Newt is passionate alright.
