Wanting President Obama's efforts to save an economy singularly and thoroughly destroyed and bankrupted by Republican policies of the last 8 years, to fail is not a prerogative of the wealthy. It is the unique domain of mean, evil-spirited, vengeful Republicans in complete denial about their responsibility towards this country.

You see, hoping that President Obama succeeds, or even just standing by idly to them means having to confront the fact that their economic dogmas (trickle-down economics, tax cuts for the wealthy, making the rich richer, dismantling benefits and 'entitlements') actually DON'T WORK in the real world. And dogmas,they are, not just theories. An economic theory is just that, a theory and if in practice it doesn't work, you discount it, check reality and then formulate a new theory based on facts and reality, and then you CHANGE. A dogma however, is something that IS, unquestioned, unmoving, ever-so, not to be doubted, just followed).

So, why is it I am saying their dogmas don't work in real life? Actually, they do work, just at a price that no civilized society is willing to pay. We could have just stood idly by and let our economy collapse and people die, but we don't do that, not in this day and age.

So, Republicans: either stand behind your economics and let the country go to hell, or admit that your trickle-down, tax-cuts for the rich economics don't work in the real world and then CHANGE AND FIGURE OUT SOMETHING THAT WORKS.

But you see, that would mean admitting their whole brand doesn't work. So, they just bury their head in the sand, point their fingers at Democrats, and hope that the electorate is stupid enough to forget who put us in this hellish mess.

They are showing us their real colours: they are
- irresponsible (otherwise they would take responsibility for this mess and try to work with the person WE THE PEOPLE ELECTED to get us of this horror faster)
- bitter (as if they were the victims)
- uncaring (as you pointed out: how can you not have empathy with the millions suffering from their actions)
- manipulative (blaming this mess on President Obama. My god, he has a more difficult job than anyone in the last 70+ years on this planet)
and outright evil (do I really need to enumerate on this one?).

The best thing we Americans can do is;
TO REMEMBER WHO PUT US IN THIS MESS AND WHO IS BEHAVING LIKE SPOILED LITTE CHILDREN NOW - AND TO SHOW THEM WE KNOW BY NOT VOTING FOR THEM FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND GIVING PRESIDENT OBAMA ALL THE PATIENCE AND TIME AND SUPPORT HE NEEDS TO PULL US OUT OF THIS MESS.
This is serious: we teach people how to treat us. If people start listening to and voting for Republicans again, they will know that no matter how much they f****k the country over, they can because the electorate is a doormat. Best way to show them is to let them linger in obscurity. That will make them change faster than you can say 'Universal Health Care'.
